Fees for autumn

Hi all

Of the people playing autumn, there are a number who still owe money from summer etc. I have listed the amounts remaining to be paid for all autumn participants (including final payments for autumn which are technically not due yet) as at 14 April 2008. Apologies for not getting onto this sooner! Note that, as of this year, Adelaide Uni students are not required to pay a sports association fee, but it is an annual $66 for everyone else. So for the newbies, where i am unsure if you are an Adelaide Uni student or not, i have included the $66 but please let me know if this is incorrect, send me your student number & just ignore it. We have to pass this on to the Uni Sports Association & it covers you for insurance, ground hire etc. Also there is an annual $10 membership fee for AUTC. Even with these costs though, it is still cheaper to play touch through our club than by entering a social team as we subsidise playing fees... Not to mention the great people & experience :)

Uni Games 2008 Update - May

Australian Uni Games 2008 - Melbourne 29th September-3rd October

The Adelaide University Touch club is looking for players keen to play in this year unigames. Unigames is often described as “the best week of your life” with its mix of sport and partying. This year we are looking to send 2 mixed teams to this week-long celebration of student life. Hence we need 12-14 males and 12-14 females to fill these teams.

Toddlers get out of prams and hassle Gerriatrics

The first annual Tod and Gerry Trophy has been won by the Toddlers at city touch fields on the 30th of March. The young ones knocked over the oldies in the first two games before having compassion on the oldies in the last and letting them power their try scoring walking frames over the line enough times to draw the final game.

Thirty two club members turned up on time, and one decided that in the world of himself that daylight saving had finished that day and was therefore an hour late. The split for the ages was a stately 30 for the men and measly 24 for the women.

A bbq completed the days proceedings. I reckon it was a damn good day, and thanks need to be given to Henna and Spurlo for making sure it all happened. Thanks needs to go to Roola and GT for having a boat load of fun the night before and refereeing with intense head aches.
