This award has been instituted to recognise members who have been playing for several years and who have shown continual improvement and performance at a high level. An award is given for both females and males.
In 2008, the award for males was named in honour of Darren Jones, who has been actively involved in the club for over 10 years and has represented the sport at all levels, including playing for Australia in 2007. The award will henceforth be known as the Darren Jones Continuing Excellence Award.
