AUTC Digest: Week beginning 6 April, 2010

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter long weekend - I spent mine camping in the Flinders and failing to see any shooting stars.

Autumn Teams 2010 & Final Draw

The teams for Autumn are detailed below. Further changes may be necessary (notification will occur via email and this blog).

A Final draw can be found below too.

The games are played at City Touch. Cnr Greenhill Rd and Beaumont Tce, Eastwood (the most South-Easterly Parklands). 

All are welcome to Wednesday night trainings, 5:30pm near tennis courts on Park 10.

We are currently waiting for our uniform supplier to provide a new batch of uniforms (which we sell for $20 to club members). For the time being wear a black t-shirt.  Coaches will be equipped with tape to manufacture some numbers.

Autumn is a short season, and will allow our coaches to make recommendations about playing ability for the longer winter and summer seasons.  Please inform your coaches if you are unable to make it to a game.

NTL wrap up from the coaches

The South Australian Men’s 30s team competing at 2010 NTL this year consisted predominantly of AUTC players and finished in win/loss 7th out of 14th nationally. Based on for and against, the final team position slid to 9th spot but notably 50% of the round games were won this year in comparison with only one round win in 2009.  This is a significant improvement, particularly as many of the teams had former Australian Opens players in the M30 division for the first time, which made the competition much stronger than last year.
